6.6. Adding NTP Server Variables

To create a variable called access_policy just add this line to ntp.conf (see miscopt.htm in the NTP docs):

setvar access_policy="open access" default

It will be transmitted as a default variable and visible from the ntpq -c rv server.host.name command.
