9.3. Daylight Saving Time

NTP operates on UTC, not local time. The host operating system is responsible for displaying the time in the correct time zone.

If ntpd has problems after a Daylight Saving Time change:

  1. Check for another application in your system that is changing the clock
  2. Verify that your operating system is configured for the correct time zone

IDEA! If you find a problem with your Operating System that affects ntpd operation, please file a bug report using your operating system bug tracking system.
