NTP users are strongly urged to take immediate action to ensure that their NTP daemons are not susceptible to use in a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack. Please also take this opportunity to defeat denial-of-service attacks by implementing ingress and Egress filtering through BCP38.

ntp-4.2.8p2, released on 7 April 2015, addresses two issues with crafted packets involving symmetric key encryption and Message Authentication Codes.

Please see the NTP Security Notice for vulnerability and mitigation details.

This is a subscription service to be automatically notified by e-mail when topics change in this TWiki web. This is a convenient service, so you do not have to come back and check all the time if something has changed.

ALERT! The notification interval is 2 hours. If you wish to have more control over notification of changes (e.g. immediate notification of changes to Webs or topics, notifications defined with regexes) you should take a look at the NotificationPlugin. To use the NotificationPlugin you must create a Users.YourWikiNameNotifyList and populate it with the contents of the NotificationPluginListTemplate.

To subscribe to this WebNotify service please add a bullet with your WikiName in ALPHABETICAL order to this list:

Format: <space><space><space>, followed by:
* Users.yourWikiName (if you want that the e-mail address in your home page is used)
* Users.yourWikiName - yourEmailAddress (if you want to specify a different e-mail address)
* Users.anyTWikiGroup (if you want to notify all members of a particular TWikiGroup)
