NTP users are strongly urged to take immediate action to ensure that their NTP daemons are not susceptible to being used in distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Please also take this opportunity to defeat denial-of-service attacks by implementing Ingress and Egress filtering through BCP38.

The Public Time Server Lists are for public time servers.

Your time server has been moved to the inactive list for the following reasons:

  1. Incorrect CountryCode - This must be the country name (official short name in English), as specified on the ISO 3166-1-alpha-2 code list, where this TimeServer is located
  2. Invalid hostname - the hostname must be a resolvable Fully Qualified Domain Name
  3. Invalid IPv4 address - this address must be publicly routable
  4. Invalid IPv6 address - this address must be global
  5. Invalid ServerContact - the e-mail address to be used for contacting the time server operator must be listed as the ServerContact. Inclusion of the operator's name or other information (e.g. telephone number) is optional

Once you correct these errors you may edit your ServerStratum to relist your time server.
