NTP users are strongly urged to take immediate action to ensure that their NTP daemons are not susceptible to being used in distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Please also take this opportunity to defeat denial-of-service attacks by implementing Ingress and Egress filtering through BCP38.

The goal of the Document Format Poll is to determine which document output formats are the most popular in the NTP community. This will help with the allocation of resources for development and maintenance of document format conversion tools that are included in the NTP source distribution.

The Official NTP documentation is distributed only as HTML. The results of this poll will not change the native format of the Official NTP documentation.

There are two types of documentation addressed in this poll:

  1. Quick reference documentation about commands and file formats.
  2. Detailed reference, or in-depth, documentation.

Participation in NTP TWiki polls is restricted to registered TWiki members. Each member is allowed only one vote per poll, but may change their vote as often as they wish. TWiki poll votes are not anonymous.
